Paper Co-authored by Our Representative, Sakamoto, Receives the Best Paper Award at DMSVIVA 2026
A paper co-authored by our representative, Sakamoto, as part of our representative’s work as an instructor at TopSE, a professional education program run by the National Institute of Informatics, titled “Overcoming Pre-trained Knowledge Bias in Multimodal RAG Agents for Embedded System Development: A Case Study on M5NanoC6,” has received the Best Paper Award (First Place) at the international conference DMSVIVA 2026 (The 32nd International DMS Conference on Visualization and Visual Languages).
Even when given up-to-date documentation, AI can be held back by outdated approaches it learned in the past. Using embedded system development as a case study, this research showed how to make AI work correctly by refining how it reads and searches documents and how humans are involved.
The Best Paper Award is selected by the program committee based on both the paper and the presentation, and the authors of the winning paper are invited to submit an improved version to the Journal of Visual Language and Computing (JVLC).
